He’s a multifaceted artist: actor, director, author, painter and narrator of the artistic life in its different ways of expression.
Summing up his work, so rich in experiences and contaminations, implies to choose only some of his collaborations.
In the cinematographic world he worked with: Federico Felini, Dario Argento, Marco Risi, Damiano Damiani, Bigas Luna,Mario Martone, A.Capuano, A.Benvenuti, Sergio Cabrera, Luciano Odorisio, S.Lucerti, Carl Haber, Joseph Sergent, T.Zangerdi, i Fratelli Taviani and many others.
In the theatrical world he worked with: L.Ronconi, K.Gruber, T.Servillo, Mario Martone, Abel
He won several prizes for his visceral interpretation as an actor.
He was the director – and will be director in the next months- of many theatrical works: “Tutto scorre” (trans.: “Everything flows”) by Massimo Sgarbati, “Apocalisse nell’Arte” (trans.: “Apocalypse in the Art”) by Valentino Zeichan.
He exhibited in many Italian galleries, in many international exhibitions of visual art, in independent spaces run by curators and critics of contemporary art.
Iuorio put the pictorial language in relation to a peculiar linguistic experimentation, reinterpreting the pop trend and the contemporary codes with a very personal style and an outstanding visual impact.
His works are also influenced by several cinematographic contaminations and artistic work experiences; moreover, Iuorio follows a consistent way, characterized by a committed creativity and a continuous expressive growth.
The title of the exhibition is debunking and involving, the union of two abstruse and unusual words contained in a title: space pilots and football players… the protagonists of an eclectic – sometimes sarcastic and amusing – pictorial imagery.
The exhibition consists of sixteen watercolours (made in two different formats): they paint alien figures emulating human behaviours, vices and virtues. There are also three light boxes which epitomize Iuorio’s style and preferred icons.
